Val d'Orcia, included in the World Heritage List in 2004, represents a unique combination of art and nature, an harmonious landscape, where man has respected rather than altered. The testimony of how humanized landscape and natural landscape can live in harmony, the beauty of a land rich in evidence, crossed by the ancient Via Francigena, still today travelled on foot and by bicycle by enthusiasts from all over the world.

Today the Val d'Orcia is represented by a rural landscape, result of the work of our old elders, mainly cultivated with cereals with alternation vineyards and olive trees. Extraordinary chromatic variations of our land, never the same, always beautiful to take your breath away.

The particular microclimatic situation of the southern Sienese the extraordinary combination of soils that, from the geological point of view together with the high hill position, allows the production of excellent wines and extra virgin olive oil.   

The grape variety, based on Sangiovese, produces high quality wines such as Brunello DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOCG, Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Rosso di Montepulciano DOCG, the Orcia DOC, the Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG. Vinsanto DOC Occhio di Pernice and Il Moscadello DOC di Montalcino also deserve a mention.

Mount Amiata, an ancient volcano, stands out and the inhabitants of Val d'Orcia have always perceived this unique great mountain of southern Tuscany as a sacred presence, to which the Etruscan and Roman populations were deeply devoted. It is for the presence of the volcanic area that the Val d'Orcia is a territory rich in beneficial thermal waters, Spa, natural springs such as Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni, Bagni San Filippo.
